Lovely kit and good quality, something different to make but the bag is gorgeous and spacious without being to bulky.

Smiles for the Smile Bag

I made the medium navy bag and love it. My friends loved it too. This is a perfect size. I found it easier to sew the bottom piece in separately rather than trying to manipulate the three layers together. Wish it came in more colors.

Thread lengths not accurate

I bought a Picotin bag and have followed the thread lengths correctly. However I have found the measurement was not long enough for the buckle straps. I have not finished the bag so don't know about the base, the handles or the sides yet.

Managed to finish in 3 days. I've always wanted to try my hand at leather crafts. This purse and its design was inspired by a brand I REALLY wanted to buy from but had to save for it. And for Popsewing to offer it at a fraction of the price but you have to make it yourself...I was more than willing to try. The tutorial was intimidating at first but after rewatching and following along, it was easy to understand.

Fun project, great results

I had a lot of fun doing this, and a little bit of frustration, which is on par with most DY projects =)
The quality of the materials surprised me, and while the instructions were sometimes a little tricky, I had no issue figuring them out. Everything else was very well explained with the video, and I'm really happy with the end result.
I'll likely buy from them again (I just need a reason to have more handbags).
Just be ready to put in the time, it definitely took a couple of hours, but it's rewarding!
