the leather smell real and good quality, however, due to the leather type, it's quite hard to aim the sewing hole. Anyway, the result came out really nice and I promise whoever make it your own, you will love it!
I previously made a normal Evelyne Kit where the leather was harder but definitely more resistant to scratches. The top grain version is nicer, softer and smoother although I personally dont like the strap. I received the link to the video but unlike the video I had for the normal kit, this was not as well described and did not always include the lengths for the threads. This can lead and has led to problems with the amount of threads that are provided in the kits. See the review for the Birkin where the lady mentioned the same thing, I had the same problem with one other bag and now have to wait for the replacement thread.
When the bag finally arrived I saw visible, sunk in marks and a very long scratch on parts inside and outside of the cuts and contacted customer service. I was first told to use an 'abrasive tool' to remove the stain myself but this was not possible, as it probably was something acidic that had eaten into the leather. I was then offered a refund or replacement so when I suggested I would add to the replacement another order, they took it back and suggested to give me a discount on the next order, and that I would be sent a tool to remove the stains which is not going to work.
How that is also supposed to remove the about 10cm long scratch on the outside I am not clear and repeated questions just get ignored. This now went on for almost 3 weeks on emails back and forth and the extra charge for the express shipping I paid was absolutely pointless as I will not be able to use this for the birthday present I wanted to. If the kit is fine, it's nice but dont expect help if something goes wrong.
