This was my 3rd DIY leather bag kit, and overall I was very impressed with the experience.
The kit arrived quickly and included everything needed to complete the project, which made it especially beginner friendly. The materials and supplies were of good quality, and I was pleasantly surprised by how organized everything was. Although the video instructions were in another language, the English sub titles accompanying video tutorial wee fine. The video moved at a comfortable pace and was easy to pause, rewind, and rewatch whenever I needed clarification.
The finished bag turned out beautifully, and I’m genuinely proud of the result. It’s a bag I am excited to show off and even more excited to give to my girlfriend as a gift. There is something incredibly satisfying about creating a quality leather bag with your own hands.
For anyone considering one of these kits, my biggest piece of advice is to take your time and pay close attention to the small details. The little things keeping your stitches consistent, aligning pieces carefully, and not rushing can make all the difference in the final quality of your purse. Patience truly pays off.
Overall, this was a rewarding project, and I would happily recommend it to anyone interested in leather working or learning a new crafting skill.

Super cute mini. I sewed the larger size of this bag a few months ago and hesitated making this mini size thinking it would be harder to sew because it is so petite (and hands are big). I am happy to report the bag is just as easy to sew as the larger size. However, the video instructions are not the best. The 30-ish minute video is literally all of 11 minutes of construction instruction. The other 15 minutes is how to sew a saddle stitch. Had I not made the larger bag first, which DOES have extensive video instructions, I likely would have been at a wee bit of a loss.

The Kylie bag is the second bagI’ve made from a Popsewing kit. It is both the easiest and hardest bag I’ve hand-stitched. It is the easiest because there is not much in the way of details; there are the little handle tabs on the top of the bag, the strap tabs on the sides, and the handstitching detail on the front flap. Then it is just stitching the bottom of the interior pocket and sewing the bottom base to the front & the back. All of those steps are easy and took me maybe 1.5 - 2 hours -- and it only took that long because I was taking my time and enjoying the meditative process of hand-sewing. The difficulty arises when finishing the bag by sewing the two side panels to the front and the back. That is where the “hardest bag” part comes in. Firstly, the top leather is so stiff that it is a hand-cramping adventure to keep all the layers together while stitching the curves on the bottom of the bag. Secondly, as many of the reviews mention, there is significant confusion regarding sewing the curves. Part of the issue is, depending on what size Kylie bag you are making, the video tutorial may not be correct for you; I made the smaller bag and discovered -- too late so I had to rip out my stitching -- the smaller bag has an additional hole on the side that helps form the curve. The additional holes are neither noted nor addressed, hence the difficulty in following the tutorial. In order to both help lessen the hand-cramping and to make certain all the holes matched up, I decided to baste the sides together before stitching. That also helped align the interior zipper pocket. Once I basted the process went much more smoothly. The Kylie bag is so classy and just the right size. I recommend the kit, just be aware the tutorial may not be correct for the size of your bag.

This leather bag looks, feels and functional just like the real deal. It is great value and finishing. This is my 3rd bag of far and I have thoroughly enjoyed making them for my loved ones.
I find this bag slightly challenging at stitching arouns the corners and rhe thicker layers. Took me a few tries but achievable. Highly recommend others to try.

Feels a little fancy! I love this bag. It’s bigger than you think. Easily can hold my iPhone 15 pro max, keys, small wallet and a few small bits and bobs. Has a cross body strap as well!

This is one of the easiest kits to put together and the final result was stunning. Unfortunately, the mini is too small for my phone but fits a wallet, keys, lipstick nicely. Looking forward to making another one in the larger size. I do love the sellier style the most and that this is offered in silver hardware. I wish that the lock, key and clochette came with this one though.

I have to admit that this bag is on the easier side, because the leather is soft , hardware is pre-installed and some parts are completed. However at least on the green version the pre-made stitching doesn't match the handmade stitching in color. Still fun and easy project with great results.

This mini Kelly was fun and easy to make! I love the quality of the leather (epsom and sheepskin lined). The color combo is even prettier in person. Love the silver hardware with green leather. The kit came with plenty of materials and tools- can’t wait to make more.

So fun to do, relaxing and it looks so perfect when it’s done! My only critique is that is quite difficult to open and close.

This is my second dyi kit now- I loved this kit! I really enjoyed the structure of the “epsom - like” leather. Top quality instructions and materials. I had to re-watch the video several times to get the corners of this bag right but it was well worth it. Love the silver hardware and the taupe color is very pretty, a little darker than I expected but in a good way. Can’t wait to start my third dyi kit.

I loved sewing the Sellier Kelly bag, even though the corners were really tricky indeed. The video and the sewing kit helped!! The only two things I didn’t like at all were the top handle — this is way too thin and flimsy for my taste (the top handle of the premade Kelly’s are more stable). And the hardware that looked too shiny and to be honest a bit too cheap. But I loved the leather from outside and don’t have any complaints about the vegan leather interior.
